FCC Order: FCC Fines Hotel for using Wi-Fi "Jamming" Devices to Block Mobile Hotspot Users
The FCC has fined an iconic hotel $600,000 for using Wi-Fi Jamming devices to block convention exhibitors and guests from using their own cellular hotspot (data) devices.

FCC Order on Reconsideration and Further Notice on Proposed Rulemaking: Signal Booster Rulings
The FCC has granted the Wi-Ex petition to amend certain technical rules for wideband consumer cellular boosters, simplifying the testing procedures, and therefore decreasing the cost to manufacture these devices. A Verizon petition was denied that would have amended signal booster rules for mobile applications.

FCC Public Notice: “Wideband Only” Licenses Will Not be Renewed
Since the FCC narrowbanding requirement went into effect on Jan 1, 2013, all VHF and UHF Industrial Business and Public Safety licenses are required to operate on channels of 12.5 kHz or less. Accordingly, wideband-only operation absent a waiver is no longer permitted. Beginning April 1st, 2014, the FCC will dismiss applications to renew VHF and UHF licenses that list only wideband emission designators unless it satisfies the exempt criteria.
