FAA Studies

An FAA study is not just for ASR registration but is required for any large manmade structure that exceeds certain height-to-airport slope calculations.  An FAA study takes approximately a month, and will tell the structure owner or builder what kind of lights will be required, whether the tower will need to be painted in standard FAA orange and white colors, and possibly other requirements.  If you are constructing a radio tower, water tank, cooling tower, or tall building, this should be one of the first things you do.

Possible structures that may require registration include oil rigs, buildings, radio towers, nuclear power plant cooling towers, smokestacks, power plants, power transmission towers, light poles, telephone poles, houses, sheds, or even just a simple lone antenna.

Some FAA studies may require additional information from the owner or builder, such as geotechnical reports and ground survey reports.  Also, there may also be additional FAA Construction Notification filing once the structure is completed.

Please complete the form below, and we will contact you.  Or, simply give us a call!
